Whether you’re a new player, seasoned player, or maybe returning to the game, the amount of various content in FFXIV can be overwhelming at times. This guide should act as a means of displaying options for what to prioritize on a daily and weekly basis during your time in game.
Daily:Beast Tribe Quests – Reputation grind. For A Realm Reborn: Amal’jaa (Southern Thanalan: x23, y14), Ixali (North Shroud: x24, y22), Kobold (Outer La Noscea: x21, y18), Sahagin (Western La Noscea: x17, y21), and Sylph (East Shroud: x22, y26). For Heavensward: Moogle (The Churning Mists: x15, y28), Vath (The Dravanian Forelands: x24, y20), and Vanu Vanu (The Sea of Clouds: x6, y14).
Duty Roulette – Tomestone grind. In your Duty Finder, you will see various Duties you can queue for under Duty Roulette. Completing each of these daily will yield bonuses of various currencies.
Mini Cactpot – Earn MGP. Visit the Main Counter in Golden Saucer. Purchase 3 tickets for a chance at big MGP winnings. Refer to FFXIV Cactpot Solver.
Race Chocobo Training – Race Chocobo progression. Use a limited amount of Race Feed items per day. This limit increases the higher rank your Race Chocobo is.
Daily Hunts – Seals grind for glamour, minions, Anima quest items. For A Realm Reborn (Allied Seals), grab the Mark Bills (3 mobs) from your Grand Company Hunt Board. For Heavensward (Centurio Seals), go to Foundation (x12, y11) and grab 3 Clan Mark Bills (15 mobs) from the Clan Hunt Board.
Grand Company Turn-ins – Large experience and Company Seals. Each day you can turn in items to your Grand Company Personnel Officer for a DoH (Supply) and DoL (Provisioning) class. Turning in high quality items yield huge experience.
Treasure Hunts – Aquapolis, Anima items, gil, glamour, minions. There is an 18 hour cooldown on finding a Treasure Map which could yield entry to Aquapolis or a variety of other items and gil. Note, you can also buy these maps on the Market Board.
Weekly:Dun Scaith – Weekly lockout 24 person raid. Complete raid once per week for chance at gear and a guaranteed Mhachi Shilling token (see below).
24-man weekly runs - as above, you can run Void Ark, Weeping City and Dun Scaith one per week to get a Mhachi tokens. You can trade in one of each token (Penny/Farthing/Shilling) to get Gobtwine or Gobcoat to upgrade your Scripture gear. Gobtwine is for head/chest/arms/legs/feet. Gobcoat is for belt and accessories. Later on we'll be able to get Goblacquer for upgrading Scripture weapons.
Challenge Log – Consistent weekly objectives yielding bonus currencies and experience. These objectives encompass all content FFXIV has to offer, so choose what’s important to you. Resets weekly.
Wondrous Tails – Random objectives yielding a variety of rewards differing each week. Visit Khloe Aliapoh in Idyllshire (x5, y6) to acquire the key item which shows this week’s objectives. The more objectives you complete, the more rewards you earn.
Jumbo Cactpot – Earn MGP. Visit the Cacktpot Board in Golden Saucer. Purchase 3 tickets and return Saturday when winning number is drawn for a chance at huge MGP profit. Limited to 3 tickets per week.
Weekly Hunt – Seals grind for glamour, minions, Anima quest items. For A Realm Reborn (Allied Seals), grab the Elite Mark Bill from your Grand Company Hunt Board. For Heavensward (Centurio Seals), go to Foundation (x12, y11) and grab Elite Clan Mark Bill from the Clan Hunt Board.
Alexander – Weekly lockouts for 8 person raid. Each difficulty, with the exception of Normal, has a weekly lockout.
Cap Scripture – High end loot currency. While this is something you’ll likely do as you complete your daily and weekly tasks, you want to ensure you’re reaching the 450 weekly cap on earning Allagan Tomestones of Scripture, as these are used to purchase item level 260 gear.
Cap Red Scrips – High end crafting/gathering currency. If you’re focusing on crafting, ensuring you reach the 450 weekly cap on earning Red Scrips, as these are used to purchase tokens for top end crafting and gathering gear and items.
